Link to student blog.
I find the JM blogs and pods to be a valuable presentation form for these students. It expands the audience for response to student writing. It opens the door for on-line collaboration. It gives participating students an opportunity to solidify their learning by sharing it. It builds their technological literacy. For these reasons I can see that this would be very validating for students. When students shine teachers shine, so that’s a perk for you. I love this, but don’t feel confident about using it in my class with my students. I am a bit of a technotard and I don’t think I could walk my students through the process of establishing a blog. It would require much more guided practice on my part to achieve proficiency for instructional purposes.
